The bachelor Mr. Sajtle runs his tailor's shop in a pavement house on the outskirts of Prague. More work than new men's suits, however, is resisting the pressure of two possessive ladies who fight for his favor. He tries to give them the impression that he is a worldly man and adventurer who has lovers and admirers all over the city. However, his carefully maintained reputation only fuels their hungry interest.
